Gardaí in Co Cork have begun an investigation after a teenage girl was left in critical condition following a road traffic incident on Monday evening.
It is understood the 16 year old girl was hit by a vehicle outside a Tesco Store on Main Street, Ballincollig.
Gardaí say the young girl was taken to Cork University Hospital in serious condition.
