Hurricane Irma has wreaked an unprecedented level of damage across the Caribbean and is set to make landfall on the Florida coast in the next 24 to 48 hours.
The storm which is being described as possibly the most powerful and destructive in a century has since been downgraded from category 5 to 4, which is still an extremely powerful and dangerous storm.
Florida Governor, Rick Scott has warned his citizens that this storm will be even worse than the 1992 storm Andrew, which devastated the state.
Millions of people in the part of the storm have been warned to evacuate.
