72-yr-old commander of Bosnian Croat forces, Slobodan Praljak, died after he drank poison in court after the United Nations rejected his appeal against a 20-year sentence for war crimes against Bosnian.

Praljak drank a substance then shouted to the court that he had taken poison – to which he soon collapsed.

He was rushed to hospital where his condition deteriorated and he died soon after from the poison.

Many on social media are going so far as to say he was a “hero” who went out “on his own terms”.
