“Good living, prayer, a healthy diet, three eggs a day (two raw) and good genetics!” – advice from the world’s oldest person, Emma Marano who sadly died yesterday at the amazing age of 117.
The Italian lady was both on 29th of November 1899 meaning that she was the last known person in the world today who was born in the 1800s.
Emma was married once and outlived her only son. She was surrounded by friends, her only carer and a priest when she died at her at home in Verbania.
