Searches have been hampered over the weekend for the remaining crew members of helicopter Rescue 116 as inclement weather has made it almost impossible to progress in the search.
Captain Dara Fitzpatrick was laid to rest yesterday after being the only crew member to have been recovered from the tragedy which occurred last Monday.
Search teams have been given a glimmer of hope tonight as forecasters have given a so-called “weather window” for County Mayo, giving clear and calm weather for the coming days which will hopefully result in a final breakthrough.
