There was some good news for a number of Permanent TSB customers today as the High Court agreed on an arrangement that will see the bank issue compensation to several bankrupts in respect of tracker mortgages.
The new agreement that was made earlier today, will see various amounts of up to €25,000 being paid by the lender to some six individuals previously adjudicated as bankrupts by the court.
It is understood the amounts being paid will be split with 70% going personally to those affected by the scandal with the other remaining 30% going to the official administering their estates.
The latest compensation deal comes after the bank admitted last year that it had wrongly moved customers on tracker loans to more expensive mortgages.
