There was some good news announced earlier today as police in the Maltese City of Gozo have confirmed that the condition of an Young Irish girl who was involved in swimming incident on Tuesday has improved.
According to The Sun newspaper, the six year old girl who was described as in critical condition on Tuesday has improved greatly abs is niw said to be in a stable condition on another ward.
The news comes less than 48 hours after the young girl got into difficulty whilst swimming in a pool at a private residence in the city.
Although the girl was quickly rushed to a nearby hospital after family members gave the child first aid, it is understood she remained in critical condition up until today.
Meanwhile Gozo police have said they are currently investigating the circumstances which led to the incident which is thought to have been a freak accident.
