Ireland may have experienced summer like conditions over the weekend with temperatures reaching the low 20s, however following a spell of good weather forecasters say the country is set to experience more of the usual conditions over the coming days.
Met Éireann say the weather outlook is most likely to produce a mixed bag, with showers and lower than normal temperatures expected.
The turn in the weather will most likely begin today as rain is expected throughout the morning in most places although it is expected to move on later in the afternoon.
The overcast conditions will also see temperatures range between 12-17C.
Meanwhile the outlook for Wednesday and the rest of the week is to bring of the same with widespread showers expected to last until Friday.
Although it is expected to be largely dry over the weekend, the national forecaster say temperatures will most likely be cooler ranging from 11-13C.
