The Government say they are fully determined not to make the same mistakes as the past in it’s new national plan for 2040.
The announcement comes after ministers recently drawn up its plan that will hope to expand the nations infrastructure in the next 25 years.
Ministers say Ireland 2040, will be actively aimed at trying to develop areas outside of Dublin which will in turn bring more growth to the nation as a whole.
It is believed the action plan is being implemented as many believe the country’s population will increase by half a million in the next 25 years.
The Government say a public consultation will be launched, with draft proposals being produced over the coming months before the final plan is submitted before the Dáil later this year.
