According to reports this morning the Government are to consider introducing a number of new restrictions to stop gardaí from engaging in strike action in the future.
Although none of the leading Garda representative associations have agreed to the conditions, the government have said there would be discussions with the organisations before any action is taken.
It is also understood that the Government wants to introduce the new constraints as part of the recent pay amendment agreement which was agreed last week.
