Government’s new Help to Buy scheme sees over 25 applications per hour since its launch





Over  25 applications are being made each hour for the Government’s new Help to Buy scheme.

Revenue figures released today revealed that 519 people have signed up since its Tuesday morning launch.

The scheme offers first-time buyers of new homes a 5% tax rebate to help them save a deposit.

The maximum payout is €20,000 with the full-year cost of the scheme expected to be €50m.
