There was some good news recently as one of the seven Irish students injured in the Berkeley balcony collapse in California has returned home.

The latest person to arrive home following the tragedy back in June is 21 year old Niall Murray from Rathfarnham in Dublin. It is believed that Niall arrived home early on Wednesday morning, following weeks of rehabilitation in a Californian hospital.

Niall’s return makes him the sixth person who was injured in the tragic disaster to return home in recent weeks.

It is understood that Niall was receiving treatment at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in San José for the past number of weeks, after Niall suffered a number of injuries in the disaster which included a broken wrist, three broken fingers and a broken heel and elbow.

Meanwhile Hannah Waters (21), from Castleknock in Dublin, the seventh person injured in the tragedy is still undergoing treatment in the US  but she is expected to arrive home some time next week.
