The toddler who fell from the 6th floor of Limerick’s Strand Hotel last Saturday is said to be making positive signs of recovery.

Neil Shanahan, aged 2, from Farranshone, is currently being treated at Temple Street Children’s Hospital, Dublin, for multiple injuries he sustained from the fall.

The little boy tragically fell from the 6th floor after he wandered into the hotel lift and made his way to a balcony where he fell onto patio furniture on the first floor of the hotel.

Fr Pat Seaver, a neighbour and local curate of St Munchin’s Church has said: “The news seems to be pretty good, so I’m told”, in relation to the little boy.

Positive signs of recovery are being well received in the local parish.
