Michael Gallagher is a well known Donegal postman/part-time weatherman who is keen to issue long range weather forecasts every now and again. He’s known to get it right, too.
So Mr. Gallagher is at it again today, saying that the longest winter in living memory is actually a good thing, based on a similar pattern from the 70s. The dark and dreary weather should be followed by a ‘great’ summer, as it did back then.
We won’t take that as gospel just yet.
