Gardaí in Dublin have launched an investigation this morning after a woman was attacked in a housing estate in south Dublin last night.
It is understood the woman, aged in her 40s, was attacked in the Bayview estate in Killiney at approximately 5.45pm yesterday evening.
Gardaí say the woman suffered minor injuries after she fought back against her attacker.
The latest attack has left many in the community calling for more Garda patrols as the attack comes just two weeks after another woman believed to be an American tourist was assaulted by a man on the Killiney Road.
Gardaí say they are currently investigating both incidents and are urging anyone with any information to contact their local garda station or call the confidential line on 1800 666 111.
