Garda Síochána Ombudsman Commission, has confirmed that an investigation is underway after a male Garda was hospitalised in Co Roscommon.
It is understood the investigation comes after the Garda was injured in an incident which occurred at the Rose Lawn area of Castlerea at approximately 1am on Sunday 9 December.
The incident also saw two other men needing hospital treatment, Gardai have since confirmed that all three men have been released from hospital.
