A fireworks display worth over $7.5 million Aus dollars saw thousands squeeze into Circular Quay right around to the Sydney Opera House and into the Botanic Gardens.
The revellers had queued for hours to get a glimpse at the 40,000 individual effects going up into the warm sky.

It’s estimated that the famous New Year’s celebrations down under bring in an estimated 250,000 people to Sydney for the one night alone.
