Hard to watch: “Mammy’s here, I love you, we’re coming home”

In a tremendously emotional and heartfelt interview on tonight’s Late Late Show, Collete and Anthony Wolfe spoke about their daughter, Leanne’s tragic suicide aged 18.

Leanne left behind various diaries depicting the horrific bullying she received online, through text and even beaten up in person.

Her parents spoke of how they heard of her death 10 years while they were on holiday.

Collete asked to put the phone to Leanne’s ear where she simply said:
“Mammy’s here, I love you, we’re coming home”

Leanne was described as a beautiful girl both inside and out and how her family and friends loved her, except for a number of thugs who bullied her.

Collete said she’ll meet her daughter again but for now she said “life’s too short, love each other, your neighbour and your workmates”.

A sad, sometimes witty, but tragic and somehow inspirational interview by a very decent couple.
