Harris vows to ease unacceptable overcrowding crisis at the nations hospitals

The Minister for Health Simon Harris has once again stated that the current overcrowding crisis at the nations hospitals is totally unacceptable.

Mr Harris who held an emergency meeting with the department of health’s emergency task force regarding the issue, said the situation is unfair on patients who are experiencing difficult conditions at A&E departments across the country.

The health minister who was speaking on Monday also revealed that he and the task force are looking at a number of measures to alleviate the crisis and nothing has been left off the table when it comes to easing the pressure at hospital emergency departments across the country.

However Minister Harris did state that the crisis has slightly improved in the past week as latest figures revealed there were slightly less people on trolleys this week compared to last week.

The health minister also reiterated his previous statements by saying the current cycle must be broken and that he and the task force will hold a number of discussions over the coming weeks ahead.

He also said that he would thank to all those working in difficult conditions to help those in dire need of medical attention over the past few weeks.
