Hayfever sufferers and asthmatics urged to take extra precautions as pollen count to reach its highest peak today and tomorrow

We all love the beautiful weather but people with allergies need to be very careful in it too.

Hayfever sufferers and asthmatics have been advised to take extra precautions as the national forecaster Met Eireann has issued another high pollen count warning for the vast majority of the country today and tomorrow.

Met Eireann say that parts of Leinster, Ulster and Connacht will experience high pollen counts on Monday and Tuesday, whilst Munster will also see levels rise on Tuesday and Wednesday.

It’s believed the latest high level warning, comes as the recent warm and humid weather conditions prompted grass and plant pollen to rise significantly.

High pollen can be particularly irritating to hayfever sufferers as symptoms include, itchy eyes, face swelling, runny nose, sneezing and a sore throat.

Those who suffer from both conditions are advised to take their prescribed medication.
