Healthcare crisis worsens as new report shows waiting list has increased by 7,000

There has been a high rise in hospital waiting lists with the number of patients now waiting going up by 7,000.

The latest figures for May from the National Treatment Purchase Fund show that the total waiting list was 672,000 for May, compared to 665,000 in April, showing 7,000 patients have been added to the waiting list.

Almost 86,000 people are waiting for daily inpatient appointments. The 30-yr-old Minister for Health Simon Harris says he’s tackling the waiting list, but it appears he’s not doing much.
