Gareth Hamilton is the principal at Sunnylands PS in Carrick, where Jackson was a P4 pupil.

Mr Hamilton said that the loss would be felt keenly at the school, where Jackson was a ‘popular boy.’

“Jackson was a great character within the school, he was just full of life and loved to take part in everything that was going on,” he said.“

He played an active part in our Nativity play just a week ago or so. Jackson Turner taking part in the Sunnylands PS Nativity play.

“He was such a fabulous big brother, I used to watch him in the mornings, he used to walk in with his little sister, who is in primary one and hold her hand.”

“He was such a caring wee boy and one who will be sorely missed by the whole school community.”
