Authorities in the UK have confirmed that a five year old boy has sadly died in a swimming accident in Portugal.
The news of the young child’s tragic death was confirmed by the British Department of Foreign Affairs over the weekend.
It is understood the boy died after he got into difficulties whilst swimming in a pool at an apartment in the Amendoeira resort, in the Algarve.
Alth a number of attempts were made to resuscitate the boy he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
