Irish Water has hinted that water rationing during the night may begin soon, as there is no significant rainfall forecast for the next few days.
The coming week is expected to remain largely dry and warm, though more unsettled conditions may set in towards the latter part. Still, Met Eireann has forecast no significant amount of rain.
An existing hosepipe ban may also be extended beyond the original date of July 31 if dry conditions continue.
