Forecast long spells of persistent rain have prompted Met Eireann to issue a weather warning affecting 13 counties.
Rainfall of up to 50mm are expected in parts.
The warning affects counties Cork, Kerry, Mayo, Sligo, Leitrim, Galway, Roscommon, Kilkenny, Donegal, Clare, Limerick, Tipperary and Waterford.
The warning will be in place until 9pm this evening.
