Helping hand: Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe praised after he comes to the aid of a man who was slashed in the face by moped muggers




The star of the Harry Potter movies Daniel Radcliffe has been praised for his efforts in recent days after he bravely came to the aid of man who had his face slashed in a recent moped attack in London.

Radcliffe who is well known for his role as the infamous Wizard bravely went out of his way and helped the man aged in his 50s- during the attack which occurred in Chelsea on Friday evening.

The actor aged 27, was caught up in the frantic scenes as he was quietly going about his business when the victim believed to be holidaying in the area was set upon by the ruthless thugs who wanted his Louis Vuitton bag.

According to eyewitnesses the man was badly injured after he refused to let go of the valuable bag when the muggers pulled up beside him, after a brief struggle the would be muggers then slashed his face before making off with the bag on their moped.

The latest attack came just a mere few hours after five separate attacks were carried out in the city that seen criminals on mopeds dousing innocent civilians in acid.

Speaking about the harrowing incident one eyewitness told The Evening Standard that what he had seen unfold before his eyes was surreal saying the thugs were determined “to get the bag at all costs.”

He further explained that he tried to stop them by ramming them with his car but was unable to do so, he also revealed that he tried to catch up to them but they got away as they easily made their way through red lights.

Speaking about the actor’s involvement in assisting the victim the witness said:”He was a really nice bloke, a lot of stars wouldn’t have stopped to help. The victim was very, very shaken up.”

Meanwhile police say they are currently investigating the incident which occurred at approximately 6.10pm on Friday, July 14 in Hortensia Road.
