Tributes have flooded in from around the world for Arnaud Beltrame, the selfless policeman who exchanged himself for a hostage in yesterday’s supermarket siege by an evil ISIS terrorist in South Western France.

In an announcement made in the past few hours, the French Interior Minister Gerrard Collomb sadly confirmed that the brave officer named Arnaud Beltrame died due to the extent of his injuries he received after being shot by the hostage taker.

Mr Baltrame’s tragic passing comes after a lone gunman named as Redouane Lakdim shot him during the siege which is now thought to be terrorist incident.

In a statement the French Interior Minister said France would never forget Mr Beltrame’s heroism, bravery and sacrifice.

Before adding that it is with a heavy heart that he offers the whole support France to Mr Beltrame’s family and companions.

President Donald Trump led the cheers for the policeman who his Administration called selfess, brave and loyal to France.
