Garda whistle-blower Maurice McCabe has spoken out to the public about a culture of silence that exists in An Garda Síochána that makes it very difficult for those who see wrong doing to speak out.
This follows revelations that former Garda Commissioner Martin Callinan allegedly ordered that McCabe be effectively buried in order to silence the conscience of the Garda.
In shocking and disturbing allegation, according to RTE News, Sergeant McCabe also alleged that former Commissioner Callinan also told Fianna Fail TD John McGuinness that McCabe had sexually abused his children and his nieces.
Social Media was also used to disparage Sergeant McCabe and spread false allegations that he had sexually assaulted a child.
Despite this organised campaign to destroy the whistle blowing Garda Sargent, that has nearly brought down the government and led to the resignation of two Garda Commissioners any sort of campaign of organised bullying is still virulently denied.
