A man in his 30s is in hospital after a hit-and-run incident in County Westmeath.
The collision happened at Magheraboy Upper in Finea at around 3pm yesterday afternoon. A vehicle struck the man and left the scene.
The victim sustained serious injuries and was rushed Beaumont Hospital in Dublin.
The vehicle is described as a dark coloured saloon, and it is believed it travelled from the Ballyjamesduff area of Cavan.
Gardaí are asking anyone with information about this incident to come forward.
