Almost 20,000 people are seeing their holiday plans thrown into the bin after Irish Ferries cancelled its scheduled sailings to France throughout the summer.
The cancellations stem from a delay in the delivery of a new ferry that was supposed to sail the route between Ireland and France.
Customers affected are being contacted to discuss their options. It’s understood that the ferry service will try and accommodate those affected but there is no guarantee of a re-scheduling.
One holiday-maker messaged The Liberal that they took a specific week off work and are outraged at Irish Ferries over their decision so close to their planned holiday.
