Singer Chris Rea is said to be in a “stable condition” in hospital today after collapsing onstage on Saturday night.
The singer was performing at the New Theatre Oxford when he collapsed, about 45 minutes into the gig.
The 66-year-old was rushed to hospital, where his condition is described as ‘stable’. It’s been speculated that the “Driving home for Christmas” legend may have accidentally ingested a small amount of poison – but this hasn’t been confirmed.
