Hopkins recieves backlash from British public after unsavoury and appalling comments about London terrorist attack

The highly controversial TV personality and columnist Katie Hopkins has once again enraged the public after she made rather unsavoury and appalling remarks about the recent Terror attack in London.

Hopkins who is well known for her ruthless and unsympathetic comments about everyday tragedies has once again received a backlash of criticism after she appeared on US television to talk about the horrifying attack which occurred on Wednesday afternoon.

The British public who have on numerous occasions voiced their disgust at the outspoken columnist, were yet again left in complete dismay after Hopkins claimed the country was cowed in terror and not at all united against such acts of brutality.

In a brief extract Hopkins said:“What I’m tired of hearing on the media everywhere at the moment here is ‘we will not be cowed by terror, we stand united.”

“Because the big news is that’s the message in London. That is not the message here in the UK.

“Great Britain is more disunited… than any time in its past.”

The rather appalling comments which were also made in her latest Daily Mail column, has led to many Londoners and fellow Brits alike to take to social media and voice their disgust at the heartless remarks made about the atrocity.

Many who have spoken about Hopkins remarks have said the comments were completely unjust and showed little to no respect to the victims that were tragically killed on a dark day for the British public.

The columnist who is now dubbed an online troll also received a stern response from another controversial figure in journalist Piers Morgan, who said Hopkins was completely wrong with her candid remarks, with him stating “That he felt fury along with great pride in the fact that the lunatics responsible for the attacks would never take London not Britain down”.

Whilst author JK Rowling compared the TV star to Nazi appeaser Joseph Kennedy writing on Twitter: “Tell the world that terror is cowing London, I remember Pro appeasement US ambassador, Joseph Kennedy in 1940”

Although the most scathing attack of words came from the London people themselves who took to social media in an untied stand when they said that Hopkins was nothing but an internet troll who prayed on the loss and suffering of others to further her high profile status, they also said Hopkins didn’t speak for the rest of the UK who are more united than ever in fighting the war against terrorism.
