Tragically this morning it has been confirmed that the body found in a house in south Dublin yesterday afternoon is that of missing Dublin woman Joanne Lee.
A major social media campaign to help find the missing woman was spread to raise awareness to locate the 38-yr-old.
However, yesterday afternoon gardai found her body in a wardrobe at a house on Ranelagh Road at 3.45pm yesterday afternoon.
Gardai were forced to smashed the door down to gain access to the house which has now been fully sealed off for a forensic examination to be carried out.
It’s understood that a man in his 30s has been taken to hospital to be treated for injuries which, it is believed, were sustained when he jumped from a third-floor window.
Gardai believe they have a direct line of inquiry for the woman’s death.
