An absolutely horrific story has emerged from Goa, India today. An Irish tourist, 28-yr-old Daneille McLaughlin’s body was found near a beach in the area.
This man, Vikat Bhagat, is the man police have in custody and they say has confessed to killing the holidaymaker.
Danielle’s body was found by a farmer in a field near Deobag Beach, in southern Goa, yesterday morning and police almost immediately made an arrest.
Danielle was in Canacona celebrating the festival of Holi and is said to have interacted with the suspect a number of hours before her disappearance.
Tragically her body was found a number of miles away from when she was last seen. Police believe they have their man and although not official, they say he has confessed to the murder.
Danielle’s family and friends in Buncrana are said to be absolutely devastated with the tragic news.
