In a truly horrifying story an Indian man has been arrested by police authorities after he allegedly raped his neighbours 18 month old toddler in front of his own children before dumping her outside on the street.
The sickening attack which occurred in New Delhi India, on Wednesday, has now led police to launch a major investigation.
According to Indian state media the young toddler was that badly abused she was left bleeding from her injuries she sustained in the horrific assault.
It is reported that the toddler has been left that traumatised by the assault she has became unresponsive and is unable to speak.
Police say the man aged in his 30s, was asked to take care of the young child by his trusting neighbour whist his wife was working on a nearby terrace, was arrested on Thursday in the Aman Vihar neighbourhood.
They also say the man who has since been charged with aggravated penetrative sexual assault under India’s Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, could face life behind bars if he is found guilty.
