Police in Australia say they believe that a nine-month-old baby girl who was found dead on a beach was sacrificed.
The horrific details come after the baby girl was found washed up on Surfers Paradise beach in Queensland on Monday.
According to reports in Australia the infant was thrown into the water at Jack Evans Boat Harbour, in New South Wales on Saturday.
It is believed that baby’s parents who are homeless and sleeping rough, sacrificed her by throwing her in the water at the Harbour before returning to Queensland.
Police say they tracked the infant’s parent’s via CCTV footage and they arrested the girl’s mother who was later released and placed into a mental care facility.
It is reported that the mother knew of the sacrifice but it was the father who actually threw the baby into the water.
Police say they are currently extraditing the man from Queensland in order for them to question him further.
