Police in the US city of Chicago have launched an investigation after a teenage girl was brutally sexually assaulted on Facebook live.
According to reports police are currently trying to track down up to six boys/young men who viciously subjected the 15-year-old girl to the horrendous assault live on Facebook.
A Chicago police spokesman told reporters that detectives began the investigation after they found the girl and reunited her with her family after she was reported missing on Sunday.
The spokesperson also said that approximately 40 people watched the horrific attack on Facebook Live, but none of them reported it to police.
Chicago police also say they contacted Facebook to take down the video immediately, which they did.
