An Indonesian woman has died a horrific death as she was swallowed whole giant python.
According to state media the woman who has been named as Wa Tiba, 54, was found dead after she went missing on Thursday evening.
It is understood the woman who was gardening was swallowed by a 23ft python as she tended her garden on the island of Muna.
Following a widespread search, local residents feared Ms Wa Tiba had been eaten by the snake after it was seen near her property.
It is reported that Ms Wa Tiba was found when her sandals was discovered beside the snake which they then captured and killed.
After capturing the snake, residents were left in shock when they cut open its stomach and found Ms Tiba inside.
Police investigating the incident say the woman was swallowed head first and was found intact inside the snake’s body.
