How you doin’? Matt Le Blanc announced as new Top Gear presenter

Matt LeBlanc cruised his way onto our screens and into our hearts as the ever smooth and confident Joey in Friends. His newest challenge? Top Gear.

The BBC have been on the hunt for new Top Gear presenters following the departure of Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May last year. Now, the BBC have confirmed that Matt LeBlanc will be joining Chris Evans and The Stig on Top Gear when the new series launches in May.

The news was revealed by Evans, who tweeted an image of himself, Matt and The Stig, who will be the only remaining element from the previous show’s line-up. We wonder what Jezza would make of that?

While many will doubt LeBlanc’s ability to make a Skoda interesting or have the confidence to order 72 portions of fish and chips during a task, LeBlanc has a good history with the show.

The Friends Actor appeared twice on the show previously, and currently holds the record for the fastest celebrity to make it around the Top Gear track in a reasonably priced car.

For those still sceptical about the whole thing, Jeremy, Richard and James will have their own show on Amazon this summer, promising more of the laughs we grew to love.
