There was some emotional scenes in West Dublin today as the funeral of 14 year old Anastasia Kriegel took place this afternoon.
In a funeral service which was full of colour, hundreds of people lined the streets to pay their respects to Anastasia who was sadly killed just over two weeks ago.
In a show of love and respect at the request of Anastasia’s family, a number of girls wore red and white headbands as they formed a guard of honour at Newlands Cross crematorium.
The teenager’s heartbreaking funeral comes after she was found dead at a disused farmhouse on the Clonee Road in Lucan.
A 13 year old boy has since been arrested and charged with her murder.
