Hundreds of people attend remembrance ceremony to mark the 20th anniversary of the Omagh bomb

Hundreds of people have attended a remembrance service in Omagh, Co Tyrone, to mark the 20th anniversary of the Omagh bomb.

The bomb, which was detonated around 3pm on Saturday August 15th 1998, saw 29 people die tragically including a a woman who was pregant with twin babies.

The public and relatives of those who were killed in the explosion and survivors of the attack attended an inter-denominational service at The Memorial Garden in Omagh today.

It’s understood that the victims came from Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, England and Spain.
