Hurricane Ophelia: “Don’t go out until the storm has passed”




Hurricane Ophelia has made landfall on Ireland the emergency response services have warned people to “not go out until the storm has passed”.

Hurricane winds of speeds of 130klm are expected to hit the country over the coming hours until the hurricane has passed County Antrim at around 2am Tuesday morning.

A status RED ALERT has been announced for the entire country with the HSE, Bus Eireann cancelling services and schools, colleges and creches closed.
