One of the biggest supermarkets in Ireland today, Aldi have announced that they will only sell high energy soft drinks to people over the age of 16.
The supermarket chain say that from March 1st, those wishing to buy energy drinks such as Red Bull will be required to present ID.
In a brief statement an Aldi spokesperson said: “We at Aldi have decided to implement the new changes after recent health reports found that high energy softdrinks were being largely consumed by children under the age of 16.”
