If the yes vote wins, the taxpayer will be funding abortions, says Government

The upcoming referendum on the Eighth Amendment will take place on May 25th. It’ll be a simple Yes or No repeal question on polling day.

The Eighth Amendment currently protects Irish babies from abortion and the proposed referendum is being pushed by Leo Varadkar and 31-yr-old Minister for Health Simon Harris.

If the Eighth Amendment is repealed it means that abortion would be permissible for any reason whatsoever up to 12 weeks.

It’s understood that the Taoiseach Leo Varadkar is said to be refusing to debate publicly on his support for abortion.

What we know however is that if the Eighth Amendment is repealed that the taxpayer will be footing the bill to pay for abortions for any reason up to 12 weeks in public hospitals around the country.

Do you think it’s fair that the taxpayer would be forced to pay for abortions for any reason up to 3 months – even if they are pro life and against abortion? Tell us in the Facebook post comments.
