There may well be 10,000 homeless people who are freezing, hungry, tired and scared living on our streets but it appears that Micheal D Higgins needed two brand new 7-series cars at a cost of €200,000.
Last December it was reported that Higgins was getting not one but TWO brand new BMW 7-series cars to cart him around the place.
A security personnel expert told The Liberal that Higgins would have received the second €100,000 BMW in case the first one broke down.
Poor “Two-BMW Higgins” was only being driven around in a 2006 car so he needed the smell of new leather, hi-tech gadgets and smooth automatic gearbox to bring him from the Aras to City Hall…
The champagne-socialist President is a life-long member of the Labour party (although he resigned from it when he started in the Aras) already receives multiple pensions and a vast 6 figure wage for his job as President of Ireland.
The Irish government has been guilty of squandering a lot of taxpayer money in recent years, but this surely ranks as one of the most vile examples we’ve had to endure in recent years.
