The two outspoken TDs have been summonsed to appear before Ennis District Court on Wednesday December 3 following on from an incident on July 22 last, when they attempted to inspect two US military aircraft at Shannon Airport.
The pair were arrested and then released without charge, and a file was sent to the DPP.
At the time of the incicent, Wallace called on gardaí and the Defence Forces to perform a search of the aircraft.
Edward Horgan of Shannonwatch said the TDs “wished to search these aircraft for the purposes of confirming whether they were involved in military operations, or were carrying weapons or munitions, or were engaged in activities that were not in accordance with the Irish Government’s stated policy of neutrality”.
