SIPTU members employed in the health service have overwhelmingly voted in favour of undertaking strike action in selected hospitals from Tuesday, March 7.
It is understood the ballot for strike action was passed with a 94% vote. The call for industrial comes following an ongoing dispute between support staff and management.
Staff say national public service agreements were not fulfilled and their exclusion from concessions were provided to other emergency department workers.
