The head of the nurses and midwives union has claimed that union members will fight as hard as they can to restore wages back to what they were before enforced pay cuts, the announcement comes as union members are to meet the Minister for Public Expenditure Brendan Howlin next week.
Discussions regarding the issue of restoring pay levels for about 300,000 public sector workers will take place between the Government and Union members early next week.
However the INMO have stated that they are fully aware that a full restoration of payments will take place immediately. Although General Secretary Liam Doran suggested that Union will insist on a strict timetable setting out how the money will be repaid.
