One of America’s leading airline companies United Airlines have launched an internal investigation after a dog believed to be a 10 month old puppy died onboard one of their flights.
According to reports in the US, the investigation comes after a flight attendent ordered the dog’s owner to place their beloved pet in the overhead compartment.
Although it is not yet known how the dog died, it has been reported that the dog was found dead in arrival at LaGuardia Airport, following a long flight from Houston to New York.
Reports stateside say the family have been left distraught by the incident, they also say a number of passengers have complained to the airline after they heard the poor dog barking during the flight.
In a statement released on Tuesday, United Airlines have confirmed that an official internal investigation is ongoing and they are currently talking to the flight attendant in question.
