An investigation is underway this afternoon after a man was electrocuted at an Easons book store in Limerick City centre.
It is believed the man who was a building contractor was taken to University Hospital Limerick after he came into contact with a live electrity cable whilst he was carrying out repairs in the store.
The Health and Safety Authority say they are looking into the incident which occurred on O’Connell Street earlier today.
They also say the store will remain closed whilst an investigation is ongoing.
